Alarming!

Well, today was a very normal day. Boring! Why do I even bother writing blogs on days like today?! :s I guess just to practice my typing or something:)
So I went to work at around 2:30pm. It was, well, work! hahaha.. Who am I kidding? I watched TV for an hour then shot off some golfballs, then cleaned. Not really hard work, but whatever they want to pay me for... I'm not complaining. So, after a long slightly boring night I routinely punched in the code to turn on the alarm, then I locked the door and headed for the gate, but as I walked around the building, I realised that I could still hear the beeping from the alarm (usually I can't hear it once I step away from the door). It didn't take me long to realise that all of the windows were still open. So, I unlocked the door, went back in, and punched in the code to turn off the alarm and..... nothing. I must have punched it in too quickly or something, because there was a pause... it was almost like watching a train hit a car that didn't move from the tracks in time, you know, something you know is going to happen and there is nothing you can do to stop it. That alarm was one of the loudest I have ever heard... no this wasn't the first time that an alarm was blaring because I don't have good keypadding skills under pressure. Ofcourse the thing wouldn't just be a good machine and shut off after I entered in the code again... no, it had to keep going until I called and woke up my boss, then, just to make me look like an idiot, it shut off and the people from the alarm place didn't even call (they must have been on their coffee break. So then it felt like one of those, "if no one else heard it, did it really happen" deals? My boss just told me to turn the alarm on again and go home. I felt like a booger!
Well, I'm sure the owner will tear into me tomarrow when I get to work because of it... hehe, I say 'tear into me' like he is mean or something, I don't even think the guy has ever yelled at me. No he just explains the issue to death in a nice, but slightly annoyed way (somtimes I would almost rather be yelled at than to have to sit thru one of his "well this is the thing" talks! I mean you almost always know exactly what he's going to say anyway (it's not like I don't already know that you have to punch in the code before the keypad stops beeping, one word pops into mind... MISTAKE that has never happened before and will 9.99 times out of 10 will never happen again). oh well! I guess I should stop borrowing worries from tomarrow and go to bed. Bon nuit!
