It's been a while!
Well, I am finally near a computer long enough to blog... for the first time in three months. Tonight I am babysitting the 2 cutest little girls in the world, Lauren and Brooke. We're having fun... we made pizza and cookies and we watched the movie Flushed Away, it was quite cute, but it had alot of adult humor in it that I think was a little over the girls heads. Now I've got to go and clean the kitchen up. It always gets quite messy when we bake. Well, hopefully it won't be as long until next time I blog. Until then, God Bless and head somewhere sunny this winter... I know I will be :)
6 years from 30!!
Well, I am now 24 years old. My birthday was yesterday. It was a really, really nice birthday. Amanda, Ashley, Lauren, Brooke, Warren, Kerry and I spent the day together. We made a really delicious chocolate birthday cake, played board games, ate pizza and watched a movie. It was so relaxing and special. I didn't however get to talk to my parents on my actual birthday.... for the first time in 24 years. :( But I talked to them this morning. Today was also the 10 year anniversary of our church. We had a huge celebration banquet and a morgage burning cerimony. It was a really cool time to remember the past and move on into "new beginnings". All in all a wonderful weekend,,,... Oh yeah..... By the end of this evening I will be the proud new owner of "The OC- Season 3" !!!!!!!!!! I am soooooo EXCITED!!!
The OC starts again in two weeks!!!
Well, I decided I would come out of my blogging slumber, for all of you people who still don't have a life and actally read these everyday. haha, just kidding. well, well, what has happened in my life since the last time I blogged...I have moved into a new appartment, got a new job, got a new roommate, lost my new roommate, watched alot of movies, bought a new coat... and purse.
There's been a death on The OC!!!!
My television life lately has been obcessed with the OC! I love that show! I have the first and second seasons on DVD and it's all I watch! I probably watch it too much, but I can't help it.... I'm addicted... I HAVE to know what happens next. Pathetic really, but last week on the season finaly Marissa was killed off the show!! Oh my... and I haven't seen that episode yet, because I don't have cable!! I've been going nuts waiting for my friend to download it for me! I hope he has it for me soon! I can't handle the suspense!!In other, more realistic news, I went with the youth to St. John on the weekend. We went to the aquatic centre and a Newsboys concert. First of all I jumped off the tower! After years of standing up there for a freakin' hour and a half then chickening out.... I finally did it! The drop to the water was a lot longer than I had anticipated. I'm still kindof scared to do it again.... and I got a wedgie! Then after the aquatic centre we went to the most AMAZING concert's EVER!!! I love the NEWSBOYS!!! I wasn't really excited about the concert before I went, but then Amanda, Misty and I got really pumped and got right up by the stage and completely let loose!!! We were right up close and the worship was so free and intimate and rockin'!! I have never had so much fun at a concert in my life. And as an added bonus, The lead singer was austrailian (accent included) and he shaved his head.... SO HOT!!!!! I could have stayed at that concert ALL NIGHT!!!I'll be sure and post pictures.... as soon as we find Amanda's camera which has mysteriously dissapeared since that night... hmmm, Where is it? Well, I suppose I should get off the computer now, I've been on it for an hour!! I'll blog again soon... maybe ;)
YO!
Well, it's Sunday today... and it is beautiful outside. Today is actually HOT like summer. Everyone is in shorts and Pete's is swamped. I love summer so much! I've had a very nice week, busy but nice. I started training for cake decorating this week and I LOVE IT! They told me not to book anything for the 3 weeks surrounding graduation because I will be basically living at the Save-Easy, up to my elbows in cake. Sounds exciting and stressful. They said they need me to learn to draw the Fundy High Symbol in frosting, and for any of you who don't know what that is, it's a really detailed clipper ship... Yeah, that'll be happinin' ! Last night I had 4 girls from the youth stay the night at my house. Misty, Amanda, Binky and Ashley all stayed over. It was really late by the time we got home from going to each girls houses to get their clothes. After that we watched "The Grudge". It was Ashley and Binky's first time watching it. They were screaming the whole time. All their screaming almost made the movie more intense for the rest of us too. It bought back memories of the first time I watched that movie, I was in the same appartment, but it wasn't mine then and I had Jeff beside me yelling at me saying "You can't close your eyes! This part isn't scary at all!!", of course he was lying. That whole movie makes me want to pee myself! We all had fun fighting over one shower in the morning too. But somehow we all actually got to church not just on time, but early! Very impressive for 5 girls in one appartment, eh?So Yeah, that was fun, but I'm really tired today and I think all the rest of the girls are too cause we're all snapping at each other. I think we should all be forced into manditory naps! That would be so nice right now. Sleep is good. I'm pretty sure I'm going to skip church tonight and spend ALONE time with God and hit the sack early. Hopefully that works out for me, but we'll have to see. Well, until next time... ... yeah... I got nothing.
UPDATE... and not a moment too late ;)
My my, it has been a while folks. I haven't been very respondsable with my blogging lately. I haven't really got much time, or a computer, so I guess I have an excuse. I have been working full time back at the Slave-Easy in the bakery. I LOVE working in that department. My co-workers are so much fun to work with! I only work 8-4 monday to friday, and I am getting paid more than I was on cash and I will be training to decorate cakes!! So fun! I couldn't ask for a better job... except maybe if I was getting paid $25 an hour to do the same thing;) I am also working at Video Ville 2 nights a week. Movies are always fun. Speaking of movies... I watched the movie "Brokeback Mountain" on the weekend, well, I should say I watched the first 10 minutes of "Brokeback Mountain" before shutting it off to prevent myself from being physically sick!! I was curious to watch it because everyone was saying that it was "the greatest love story of the year", but that was a big fat lie! More like sickest gay porn aloud onto mainstream video!! I was thinking there would be foreplay and talking somewhere in the movie before they made the people watching feel uncomfortable, but no no... there was nastiness the first freakin' night those two men were on that mountain!! GROSS! In other words, watch this movie if you want to throw up, not if you want to be entertained!! Anyways, Life is Good right now. I spent Easter weekend at my Nan's and was able to visit with alot of my family on Sunday for dinner. I finally got to hold my cousin Sydney. She is adorable! And she actually smiled for a picture with me...once we got Russell to take it and not Aunt Sandy... that kid cries Everytime she sees her mom until her mom is holding her. weird fase. Oh, and for Easter, my Nan gave me a cup and saucer set that was her mothers, it's over 100 years old! I almost cried. I love it! So all in all my weekend was very relaxing, like a little vacation. Oh yeah, and I got to see my Uncle Chris and cousin Gabby for the first time in like a year and a half! Gabby looks so grown up now! I could hardly believe it was her. Beautiful young lady (she's 13 :)Well, I am at Video Ville right now, so I guess I should go and dust or something... you know, earn my paycheque ;) I want to send an Easter shout out to my cowboy friend in Wyomming. Miss you, hope your having fun... Oh, and Happy Easter Mom, Dad, Em and Cabe, love you miss you!! Can't wait to see you again! [Happy Easter Everyone!! Chocolate Bunnies to All!!!
Alphabetizing Movies could send anyone over the edge!!!
I am suddenly feeling the urge to blog. I'm not sure that I really have much to blog about, but I really want to get my blogging passion back. I used to love blogging every day... sometimes twice a day! But lately I've lost my creative edge. I need it back! sigh. I miss living in the lovely weather of florida. I really miss swimming with my sister and brother in the pool, and going to the movies and Friday's with my friends from Bible study. We used have so much fun. The culture down there is so different. I don't miss the city and I don't miss some of the cultures, but I do miss my friends and family and the weather. I would love it if Florida was only like an hour away from here, but with all the same benifits. Then I could see my family whenever I want. I hate being so far away from them and only hearing them on the phone once in a while. But I do, for some reason, love this town! I guess it will always be home.I am (finally) moving into my appartment this week. I sold everything when I left last time, so now I'm starting from scratch again, but it does make it kindof exciting, to get new things. I don't really like the idea that I will be living by myself. I hope I don't get really lonely. That happened the last time I lived by myself. I only lasted like 2 months. Well, God provided then and he will provide now. Maybe I'll end up back in Florida, who knows? we'll see. Anyways, today I'm at video ville. Last night Amanda and I started alphabetizing the action and thriller old releases... HOLY MOTHER.. I have never been more confused and annoyed by the alphabet in my life!!! The whole store was covered in movie cases. We wanted to burn them all!! stupid movies!! Several times throughout the night we found ourselves just sitting down on the floor drinking chocolate milk and staring at the piles around us laughing about how great it would be if we just walked out of the store right then and let Janessa deal with it today, but of course we didn't do that. It was alot of work, but at the end of the night Kerry showed up with three hot chocolates to give us a ride to her house for some girl time (well, girl time with Warren, lol). That was a good end to a stressful evening. So, that's about it for this entry. God Bless!
