Random thoughts and news for today...

-I miss St. George like CRAZY!! I'm thinking about my friends so much that I'm even dreaming about you guys!! (literally) I think I'm a little unstable. I wish that St. George was closer. I wish I was closer to you **sigh** I'm scared to stay away too long because well, for one thing, I don't want Lauryn and Brooke and Jada to grow up without me so that when I do come back they won't remember who I am. It hasn't happened yet, but still I don't want to stay away too long. Not to mention the fact that I really, really miss my friends and family and the save-easy and just the general people you see in St. George :( But I trust God to put me where I need to be right now. There are other issues too, like I am totally illegal here!!! I'm an Alien!! but I really think God is trying to teach me how to live happily and respectfully with my family. Because "before you can have the family you want to have, you have to learn to live with the family that you already have" (or something like that). Let's just say I'm trying to learn FAST so that I can get on with my life. So that is my first thought(s).
- Second, I saw a CRAZY story on the news today. There was this home video of these guys in like Brazil or somewhere who found this bag with pieces of wood tied to it floating in a river. When they fished it out and opened it there was a little baby inside!!! ALIVE!!! So they took it to the hospital and the baby survived! Story's like this make me wonder what God has in store for that little baby to make Him go thru all that trouble to make those guys stop to fish him/her out of a river. That will be a persons life I will ask God about when I get to heaven!
- Third, I've been blessed with a few hours a week working at a motel in hollywood beach. I work the front desk. It's interesting... to put it lightly. I was going to try and glam it all up into this true floridian story for you all, but there is just nothing Glamable about this place. The owners and the people I work with are nice and normal, but the neighbourhood and the people who come in are another story. To start I'll say they do have high security... and they should. The neighbourhood around the motel is filled with Drug dealers and prostitutes and French Canadians (lol, but true). The weirdest and funniest part about this motel is that you can rent a room for only two hours if you want.... hahem... wonder what one would be doing in a hotel room for only two hours... *cough*... All I can say is that I've seen more condom wrappers in the last two weeks than I have my whole life!! GROSS!!! And to make an already unimaginable job worse, most of the men who rent rooms for this long are doing it so that they can cheat and get home to their wives before supper!! On top of that, I work the night shift (6-12pm). That's when one can really meet some WACKO'S. But hey, I'm getting paid... lol... I'm not even sure yet if I can really be that possitive about this job. It's funny right now, because I've only been there two weeks, but this job just adds another reason to my large list of reasons to move back to St. George, where most people are too embarrassed to rent a motel room for only two hours.
- I long for normalicy!!!
- My hair is really long now... it's exciting... almost half way down my back. It's fuzzy today though... I think in my efforts to defrizz it with product, I may have reversed the intentions of the stuff by putting too much on. No big deal, second day hair is always the best anyways ;)
- It's 1:41am. YEAH.......I'm out....

It's the New Year!

It's 2006 and my life is flying by so fast these days! I had alot of fun at my friend Angie's new years eve party. Her family is Spanish so they had alot of fun new traditions and some old ones too. Her back yard looks out onto a lake and there were alot of fireworks going off over the water and all around her neighborhood. So pretty. She also had a pool with lights that change colors and (My favorite part) a PIG on a spitt in the back yard! A WHOLE PIG!! It was really neat:) So, after eating all kinds of spanish food we got ready to count down the new year. We all got champaigne and 12 grapes to make 12 wishes with, another spanish tradition. It was so interesting and alot of fun!! We even learned to salsa and tango from her very rythmic family:) It was a nice experience:)
Other than that the New year also brought along some more good news... my mom and brother moved back home on new years day!! This takes a whole lot of pressure off me and now I feel like I can maybe even make the decission to move back to Canada and that everything will be ok down here:) We will have to see what the Lord has in store...
Oh yeah, another fun thing going on is that this weekend my little brother will be auditioning for an agent in Miami who gets kids jobs on Disney sitcoms like "The lizzzy McGuire Show" and "That's so Raven" and "Zoey 101" and others like that. If he makes it he will have this lady as his agent and he will be able to audition for real acting jobs!! I'm now wondering why I wasn't down here when I was 12... I could be set for life now!! lol! JK... I do hope he does well though. We just told him to act like he does at home and he'll be hillarious!! Gods blessings Cabe!!
Well, I am praying that you all will have the most blessed year yet and that each of you see at least one of your dreams come true this year:) Love You All!!
