Happy Birthday Jesus!

Well, Christmas day is almost over for another year. We had a good one. My family did something today we would normaly never do... we slept in, got up, went to church, and THEN opened our presants. It kinda made it all alot more exciting and kinda old fashioned. My little brother was sooo excited on the drive home from church. Every minute we were driving seemed like an hour to him. But we got home and he is now relaxing again:)
For Christmas I got this really great devotional book and journal from my Mom and Dad. It's by Frances J. Roberts and it's called "Come Away My Beloved". The devotionals are all really neat. They are written like Jesus is actually writing them (backed by scripture). I love that. Sometimes I just need to hear Jesus talking to me (in ways I understand) not always trying to interpret the bible so that I can find what I need out of it.
I really wanted it when I saw it last week, so It is probably my favorite gift:-D
Well, I really hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!! Most of all I hope Jesus had a wonderful birthday!! This day was for him from start to finnish:)
So merry christmas all!
(PS- if I didn't call you today it's because first of all, I didn't call anyone, and second of all because it is 11:15 pm my time right now, so I don't want to wake you all up. But I am hoping to call everyone at least once this week:) I love you all!

Filling in Blank Spaces :D

I don't really have much to write about tonight, but I felt that it has been long enough since my last entry that I should probably at least pretend that my life is interesting and eventful. Well, on wednesday was my friend Kristin's 21st birthday. We went over to her house for a "surprise" party, but she figured it out before we all got there because she came home early and noticed all these chairs from the church in her living room! Silly, but we still had a blast! We played a really fun little game sort of thing called "would you rather?". It had questions like...

" Would you rather"
- swallow a dozen thumb tack's or
cut off your bottom lip with a rusty pair of scissors?
- have to turn around three times before you sit down (everytime you sit down) or have to do a little jig before you walk thru every door you walk thru?
-be caught picking your nose on the jumbo screen at a ball game or
be caught picking your nose in front of a first date?
-Have to look at yourself for 20 seconds in every reflective surface you pass or
never look at yourself again?

So yeah, that was pretty funny (as you can imagine). Anyways, this weekend my mom and brother are going to Toronto, so my sister and I get the car and her appartment for the weekend. Woo Hoo!! I am very excited! It will be fun to have a place to entertain our friends without having to work around our parents:)
Anyway, it's 1:00 am, I'm going to bed! Gnight!

Busy, Busy Weekend

This weekend has been very busy! In a completely fun way. Last night we went to see "The Chronicles of Narnia- The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe" and it was the most AWESOME movie that I have seen in a Long time... maybe even the best movie ever. If you haven't seen it then you HAVE TO GO!! I felt like crying (and actually did cry) from the middle all the way to the very end. After the movie I went to Ihop for the first time ever. It was, well, a resturant. nuff said about that:)
Tonight I went out (with the same friends from last night) to go see one of the girls from our bible study sing in a Christmas musical drama thing at the community college. It was pretty fun. Then me, Kristen, Lauryn and Travis went back to his house and smoked cigars... lol, yes, that's right. Lauryn and I had never smoked one before and we were all looking for something exciting to do so we baught some cheap cigars at a convienience store and smoked them:) Well, to be truthful we only got thru half of one each, they were kinda nasty and made me spit alot (very unladylike, I know). But well, at least now I can say I've smoked a cigar once in my life:)
So tomarrow is the big Christmas party for the Bible study hommies. My sister and I will be spending all tomarrow afternoon baking christmas cookies for it and then we have to git to grandpa's (aka-Travis) early to decorate. Should be good times! Can hardly wait! (It, of course, won't be nearly as fun as if I were in Canada going to the Save-Easy/Videoville party with my BEST friends, but I gotta make the best of it:) I do miss you all alot though:( Awe well, we'll have to have some big bashes when I cross the border again, hopefully soon:-D

Just me, being completely NONSENSICAL :)

Well, I haven't blogged in a week or so, so I guess I shouldn't keep my public waiting any longer. lol. Christmas is fast approaching and I wouldn't know it if it wasn't for the tree in our living room:) I'm very much in a busy, "I don't really care if Christmas comes or not", mood this year. It's not in a really bad way, but I guess if I don't pay too much attention to tradition this year than maybe it won't hurt so bad knowing that my family won't be in the same house for Christmas. But it's all good, I'm learning to deal. Other than that I have found some work for a while, which will help with Christmas presants... and dadadadaaaaaa.... I will "have" to get a car in order to take the job:) I'm going to try to get a Jetta (because they're awesome on gas) or some other small car, but we shall see. Then I'll (hopefully) have one when I move back to Canada!! yay!
In other news, Narnia is comming out this weekend! My sibs and I are pretty excited (well, them a little more than me I think). It looks pretty good though. Also this weekend is our Young adults Christmas party! woo hoo! I love parties! Before the party we're going to decorate my friends car for christmas. It will be the tackiest car ever! We're putting a mistletoe in her back seat and a paper fireplace on her dash complete with stockings and chestnuts roasting on the open fire:) lol! It's name will be Noel - The first Noel to be exact. Next year it will be the second Noel:) haha!!
Oh what fun it is to ride in a neon named NOEL!!
