One Foggy Day ;) ;)

Today my sister, my dad and I went to see the movie "The Fog". It was pretty creepy, but Tom Welling (aka-Smallville's Clark Kent) was in it and he is totally gorgeous. That boy can rescue me from nasty fog people Any day!! There was, however, this one part where he and his girlfriend were making out in the shower. Normally a hot scene with him all wet with his shirt off would be fine by me, but my dad was sitting right in between my sister and I, this kinda made it a little awkward. It didn't help that that scene lasted about five minutes (meanwhile my sister and were sinking deeper and deeper into our chairs, not knowing weather to keep watching or to fake innocence... My dad took it like a trooper though, and ignored it).
After the movie we went for a drive to South Beach. We got some mint frappaccino's from Starbucks and then went for a walk. We stopped in front of Versace's (the designer) house where they were having a big party. There was three huge bodyguards on the front step and three ladies with the lists of who was aloud in. It was just like something you see on TV or something. Everyone including us stopped to peak thru the fence behind the press area. They had a big Picture board set up and were taking pics of the stars as they came in. Let me tell you, I have never seen so much blonde hair and fake boobs in my entire life... Some of the older men were walking in with two girls (true pimp daddies I suppose). I was hoping to get a glimse of my future husband (Vin Deisel) there, but the press were all jumping in the way too much. Still it made for an interesting half hour or so before we gave up and headed home:)
Anyway, it is once again 2:00 am and I am still typing away like it is 3 in the afternoon. I need to turn my internal clock back around. I'm like a vampire! Night should be for sleep, not prowling around and writing blogs!!! Anyways, Night!

Taking the old HOGS for a spin!

Well, I just got up about a half an hour ago (if you look at the time i'm blogging this you will realise that I didn't get up until 12 pm!). I really have not got much of an excuse for my laziness. Well, my sister and I were up really late last night, but it wasn't really for a good reason either (then again...).
I got home from work last night at around 10pm. Work was great, I shot a ball almost 200 yrds (a personal best and with the right gripping and stance no less). after work I ate some chinese food (compliments of my mom. her and my brother went on a weekend cruise that left yesterday... great trade off eh... hmmm, cruise or chinese food? which one would I chose? *sarcasm*) Jk, the food was great! After a little tv (@ around 12:30am) my sister and I decided to go for a bike ride. It was so nice out, just enough wind. My sister and I talked about all kinds of things. including the differences in our personalities, where we are at with God and ...wait for it... MEN, of course, that's all my sister and I ever talk about. Last night was a little bit deeper though, I now know in detail what my sister is looking for in a man (as she does me). So, anyway, while this whole conversation was going on we got into such a rythm that we just kept doing laps around the whole park (and we don't really have a small park). It wasn't until we got home that we realised that we had both been in the hardest gear the whole time we were biking. So we spent the remainder of our time awake laughing about how painful it was to walk, sit, go up stairs, reach for a glass of water, breath. We couldn't do anything without the feeling that we were floating. Ah, glorious excercise! I can't wait to do it all again tonight!

Peaceful Night

Today my sister and I both woke up at like 12:00 pm. We had a really late night last night! We decided, once we were dressed, to go to the movies. We went to see 'Into the Deep'... or 'Into the Blue' I'm not sure what the title is... oops! but it was really good! The guy in it was kinda a hottie and there was one part where a Tiger shark eats half of a girls Butt! LOL!
Tonight was a wonderful night. One of the happiest nights my family has had in a long time. We went to Hollywood beach boardwalk for dinner. We ate pizza and salads outside, looking at the water. Then we all went for a walk on the beach. My sister and I sang show tunes and talked about men while laying on the beach looking at the sky. It was such a romantic sky tonight! I can't wait to find my man so that we can spend a romantic night on the beach looking at the stars. *sigh*
so now I think I'm going to go for a bike ride. Nothing like some good excersize before bed to get me all energized so I won't get to sleep until 3 am! Awe well. Whatever it takes to get this ass into shape!! LOL!

Alarming!

Well, today was a very normal day. Boring! Why do I even bother writing blogs on days like today?! :s I guess just to practice my typing or something:)
So I went to work at around 2:30pm. It was, well, work! hahaha.. Who am I kidding? I watched TV for an hour then shot off some golfballs, then cleaned. Not really hard work, but whatever they want to pay me for... I'm not complaining. So, after a long slightly boring night I routinely punched in the code to turn on the alarm, then I locked the door and headed for the gate, but as I walked around the building, I realised that I could still hear the beeping from the alarm (usually I can't hear it once I step away from the door). It didn't take me long to realise that all of the windows were still open. So, I unlocked the door, went back in, and punched in the code to turn off the alarm and..... nothing. I must have punched it in too quickly or something, because there was a pause... it was almost like watching a train hit a car that didn't move from the tracks in time, you know, something you know is going to happen and there is nothing you can do to stop it. That alarm was one of the loudest I have ever heard... no this wasn't the first time that an alarm was blaring because I don't have good keypadding skills under pressure. Ofcourse the thing wouldn't just be a good machine and shut off after I entered in the code again... no, it had to keep going until I called and woke up my boss, then, just to make me look like an idiot, it shut off and the people from the alarm place didn't even call (they must have been on their coffee break. So then it felt like one of those, "if no one else heard it, did it really happen" deals? My boss just told me to turn the alarm on again and go home. I felt like a booger!
Well, I'm sure the owner will tear into me tomarrow when I get to work because of it... hehe, I say 'tear into me' like he is mean or something, I don't even think the guy has ever yelled at me. No he just explains the issue to death in a nice, but slightly annoyed way (somtimes I would almost rather be yelled at than to have to sit thru one of his "well this is the thing" talks! I mean you almost always know exactly what he's going to say anyway (it's not like I don't already know that you have to punch in the code before the keypad stops beeping, one word pops into mind... MISTAKE that has never happened before and will 9.99 times out of 10 will never happen again). oh well! I guess I should stop borrowing worries from tomarrow and go to bed. Bon nuit!

Coffee!!

Well, It is really, really early for me to be up right now. It's my day off... I was so looking forward to sleeping in today! But now, at 10am, I've been up for two hours. All because this stupid plumber was supposed to come in and fix our hot water heater, which just so happens to be located in my room>:( I'm not really impressed that he said he was going to be here in 1/2 an hour... that was 2 hours ago. I guess there was an accident where he is comming from that is holding him up. So I guess now there is probably no hope for me to get back to sleep. But I need to get sleep... I'm grumpy!! Aw' well, maybe I'll take a nap this afternoon. Or maybe not with all this coffee I'm filling my system with:(

Christmastime and Cinderella!

Well, it's only october and already the malls are starting to put up their Christmas decor. That is even worse than the malls in canada! I couldn't believe it when we walked into the mall today and there was garland and white poinsettas hanging from the ceiling. That is way too premature... especially for me living down here, without it even being fall yet... I mean, here it is really still like summer for me. I'm not used to this at all. I am kinda hoping that by some miracle, my family gets to go back to Canada this year for the holidays. otherwise it won't feel like christmas at all!! It might pass us by, that has never happened to me! I don't like to think about it.
Anyway, in other more exciting news... DA DA DA DAAAAA..... Today CINDERELLA came out on dvd!!! I reserved my copy back in like june and now it is finally mine!! I LOVE that movie... I was so excited that I almost cried when I started watching it. That seems kindof extreme to me, but I don't know what's up in my head. Lately I could be watching a centimental moment on seseme street and I would be on the verge of crying. Maybe I'm eating too much watermelon. ANYWAY, Cinderella is probably my most favorite movie of all time! The little piece of childhood memories that I for sure don't want to let go of and now I own it, so i don't have to :D
Oh yeah, just for my own records, I should report a little shout out to my new little sleepover friend Polly. Miss Polly is my mom's cousins litttle terrier dog that we babysat for a couple of days. We just took her home tonight. She is the cutest and most gentile loving dog ever. We weren't really supposed to have dogs in the park where I live, but we smuggled her in and out without getting caught, he, he, he! We had so much fun with her. She made everyone in my family miss having a furry little friend around the house. But hey, now we're polly's official go to babysitters, so if her owners go out of town again we get her. YaY! We'll miss you until then little pooch!

Another Florida Day!

Our Phones are dead now for the third day in a row... grrrrrr.... I am honestly a surprised That "The Greatest Country in The World" has to take so long to get things done sometimes. Service down here in South Florida is definitley not something to brag about. They take weeks to fix anything!
Oh yeah, did you guys know that they just now raised the fine for running a red light from $60 to, I think, $180. It's a good thing if you've ever seen the drivers down here. I'm a little surprised that it has taken them this long to realise that was a nessisary law to have. In Canada things like seatbelts and not running red lights are of great importance.... and have been that way for 20 years at least! The same goes for wearing helmets on a motorcycle. Helmets? People down here are 'wise' if they even put on a shirt and a pair of shorts before they get on an open vehicle going 120 up the highway. It truly makes me cringe everytime I see people flying by without a helmet on down here... Don't they know that things like road rash and pavement don't tickle when they are applyed forcefully to your head?! Anyway.
Yesterday the A/C was broken at work. I have my suspisions that my boss shut it off because he doesn't want to pay the power bill, he's so cheap! It was not a very nice trick to pull on the only day I decided to wear a pair of jeans and a three quarter lenght sleeve shirt to work. Needless to say my sister brought me over a tank top. By the end of the night however, I felt like I was going to be sick! It was hotter in the shop than it was outside! I felt like I was stuck in a hot car and the windows wouldn't go down. My other boss, however, was giving lessons all night, which was very entertaining to watch. He's so funny and to be honest kinda HOT (shhh! Don't tell anyone I admitted that). So I was destracted from the heat most of the night. AND I have to do it all over again tomarrow. I will, ofcourse, be doing it sans le Jeans for sure. I think I'll go to work in a swimsuit! It can be like a protest, "I'll wear clothes to work when you fix the a/c!!". That'll teach 'em! hahahaha!
